Overview
Thank you for submitting your work to SHAHU Awards.
Application fees help support the administration of the competition, artwork review, jury evaluation, platform operations, exhibition planning, and related organizational activities.
Because these services begin immediately after a successful submission, application fees are generally non-refundable, except in the limited circumstances described below.
Non-Refundable Fees
Application fees are not refundable in the following situations:
- Change of mind after payment.
- Failure to review the competition rules or eligibility requirements.
- Failure to review the published submission deadline.
- Withdrawal of an application after it has been successfully submitted.
- Failure to win an award.
- Disagreement with the jury’s decisions.
- Duplicate submissions made intentionally by the applicant.
- Failure to complete an application due to incorrect information provided by the applicant.
Refunds May Be Approved
SHAHU Awards may approve a refund only under the following circumstances:
- A duplicate payment was made accidentally.
- A verified technical error resulted in multiple charges.
- Payment was successfully processed but the application could not be completed due to a confirmed technical issue on the SHAHU platform.
- SHAHU Awards cancels the competition or is unable to proceed with the announced edition.
All refund requests are reviewed individually.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated after an application has been successfully submitted, SHAHU Awards reserves the right to:
- Suspend the application while the dispute is being reviewed.
- Remove the submission from consideration if payment is reversed.
- Disqualify the entry if the chargeback is upheld or payment is ultimately reversed.
Applicants are encouraged to contact SHAHU Awards before initiating a chargeback so that genuine payment issues can be reviewed and, where appropriate, resolved promptly.
Processing Approved Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method used during checkout.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Competition Timeline
Applicants are responsible for reviewing all competition information, including:
- Submission deadlines
- Eligibility requirements
- Entry fees
- Competition schedule
These details are published on shahu.org before payment is completed.
Technical Issues
If you experience a technical problem during payment or submission, please contact SHAHU Awards as soon as possible.
Where a verified platform error prevents successful submission after payment, SHAHU Awards will work with you to resolve the issue or, where appropriate, issue a refund.
Policy Updates
SHAHU Awards may update this Refund Policy from time to time.
Any changes will become effective immediately upon publication on this page.
